DHZ POLE a part of the rescue resources deployed by the Slovak Republic to help Czech Republic in the fight against a large-scale forest fire
A forest fire, largest of its kind in the last 15 years, raging near Bzenec in the Czech Republic, burning on 200 hectares of forests in the region of Hodoninsko. More than 1.000 fire fighters and 250 units have been deployed and over 3.000.000 litres of water per day used in the fight against the element.
Slovakia responded to the call for help and sent professional and voluntary firefighting units to support our Czech colleagues in their fight with the huge fire. DHZ POLE is part of the deployed units.
The 10 member team of DHZ POLE was deployed near Bzenec with our special equipment of wheeled and tracked vehicles including 4 wheel quad Polaris Rangers, Tatra 815 CAS, Tatra 8x8 and a BMP-1 CAS equipped with a water tank of 4.000l capacity and a water cannon, helping to fight the large-scale fire.
